LUFKIN entered into the Foundry Industry in 1902 with the inception of LUFKIN Foundry and Machine Company. The Company's focus during that time was servicing the repair needs of the railroads and sawmills. Over the years LUFKIN Industries, Inc. has invested significant resources in developing this Division into an industry leader. This is evidenced by our entry into the ductile iron segment during the 1940's as the industry began working with this new material.
LUFKIN's current market position is in the production of medium to large, low to medium volume ductile and gray iron castings. On a daily basis, we serve OEM's in various industries, including valves, machine tools, pump and compressors, as well as construction equipment and special machinery. LUFKIN continues to focus on developing long term relationships with our current and potential customer base.
